Solar eclipses – whether total, annular, or partial – are an impressive natural phenomenon. But when viewing a solar eclipse, it is absolutely essential to protect your eyes! The best way to do this is with our special, high-quality solar eclipse glasses – which bear the CE mark and are certified according to DIN ISO 12312-2-2015.

Description

Our solar eclipse glasses for eye protection have an optical density of 5, meaning they are 100% safe for direct viewing of the sun. This makes our solar eclipse glasses ideal for viewing the partial or annular phases of a solar eclipse. When there is no eclipse, you can also use the glasses to spot larger sunspots. Simply wear the solar eclipse glasses just like regular glasses. The sun’s surface appears in a pleasant orange-yellow hue.

Safety Instructions

Before each use, please check the front and back of the lenses for damage such as scratches, pinholes, or detachment from the frame. Wear your solar eclipse glasses to protect your eyes from the sun’s rays whenever you look directly at the bright sun or its reflection. These solar eclipse glasses are intended exclusively for viewing with the naked eye. Under no circumstances should you look through the glasses using optical aids such as binoculars or spotting scopes. The sun's rays would be concentrated through the lenses and burn the film – resulting in serious eye damage! During a solar eclipse, you must put on your solar eclipse glasses whenever any part of the bright sun is visible during the partial and annular phases, no matter how small. The glasses may only be removed during the brief phase of totality. Children should only observe the sun under adult supervision.
